Hallucination Date - 13th February 2019

It was early one morning, and I was at the top of the bumpy track by Collie Hill Car Park (I realise only a few people will know where this is - you know who you are). Basically, it's a large off-road dip, which often has a large muddy puddle at the bottom. This is fun to drive through too fast in an old car such as a Green Escort MK1 or Red Ford Cortina MK2. Standing at the top of the track was a tripod from the 80s TV series, which I used to watch as a kid - tells you something about the sort of kid I was.
There was a long black rope ladder hanging from the cockpit. My friend and I climbed up and went inside through the open hatch, pulling the ladder up behind us and closing the hatch.
There were no aliens or humans present; it was empty.
Inside was a dashboard with a few buttons and a handprint embedded in the surface. Presumably it was some kind of handprint recognition system, but it was obviously for aliens as it only had three fat fingers like the one in Total Recall or many other sci-fi movies and TV shows. I tried to put my hand on it to make it work, but no response. There was a red circular button that was for the laser, we pressed it a few times and fired a green laser pulse that blew things up. This was obviously quite satisfying, but a bit unwise as it probably drew attention to us. There was also a small black joystick. I tried using it and realised it made the tripod walk in whichever direction you wished. I walked it down to the bottom of the dip where the muddy puddle should be, but it had dried up.
After a short while, the police started to arrive. There was an unmarked car with two plain clothes officers inside. They got out and used a red megaphone to shout up to us, however they could not see in. They probably envisioned aliens piloting the tripod, not two humans.
I then turned the tripod into a field to our right, knocking over a wire fence - the kind with wooden stakes and 3 metal wires strung across them. We got about half way into the field and the tripod stopped, everything froze and I woke up. It was 5am.
Meds were due at 5:30, so I closed my eyes to go back into the dream so I would remember it for someone to write down. However, when I had my meds the nurses were too busy to write it down at that time. I closed my eyes again and returned to the dream a second time, so it would be ingrained in my memory to write down later.
One of the weird things about this is that I hadn’t remembered that TV series at all until the dream.

Great dream, loved this one!
